Welcome new Community Engagement Leader Emina Dervisevic

We are pleased to announce that Emina Dervisevic will be joining our team as our new Community Engagement Leader on Monday, August 24, 2020.

Emina comes to Vancouver Coastal Health with years of experience in engagement as she previously worked as a Director with Delaney + Associates, a firm known to be a leader in stakeholder engagement and communications across Canada. In this role, Emina designed, planned, managed and reported on engagement and communications plans for a wide range of projects for all three levels of government. You might have met her in the past as she has led and been involved in the Ministry of Health’s initiatives (Patients as Partners’ 2018 Regional Tables and 2019 Community Conversations and Health Information Privacy, Security and Legislation Engagement), as well as the Provincial Health Services Authority’s engagements (Community Inclusion Policy and Toolkit engagement).

Emina is looking forward to her new role as she is passionate about improving access to care, creating efficiencies, and doing so by building strong connections with stakeholders such as patients, families, public, non-for-profit organizations and government departments. Emina’s most recent project – Provincial Medical Sign Language Interpreting Services Engagement – has been recognized for making a positive impact on the lives of Deaf, Deaf-Blind and hard-of-hearing British Columbians.

We know you will join us in giving Emina a big CEAN welcome as she begins her new role.

I know Emina as an amazing human being, mother, wife, daughter, friend and an excellent leader.Broadly educated intellectual, hard working, passionate as she is, her new position will benefit with her new engagements.
